Marin General Hospital News

Marin General Hospital has made an outstanding start during the 18 months since its transition to an independent Community Hospital. Great credit must be given to the leadership, the medical staff, and the employees. Not only is the hospital operating in the black, but many innovations have been introduced to benefit the district residents.

There are challenges ahead; perhaps the largest is pursuit of the project to modernize and bring the hospital into seismic compliance. Jon Friedenberg, the Chief Fund and Business Development Officer has been visiting City Councils and Marin organizations to  publicize and explain the need for this vital project. View Jon's talking points. The current timetable for the project is, pass a general Obligation Bond ($250-300 million) in Nov 2013, break ground in 2015, with completion in 2018.
